Ingredients:
1/2 cup Diced/ Shredded Coconut
3 Thinly Sliced Ginger
1 Garlic Pod
1 Green Chilli
¼ tsp salt
1/3 cup water
To Temper: (Optional)
½ tsp Mustard seeds
½ tsp Urad Dhall (Black Gram)
Curry Leaves
½ tsp oil
Method:
- Blend all the ingredients together except water.
- Add water and grind to adjust the consistency.
- To Temper: Heat oil in a skillet, add the mustard seeds, when it starts to splutter, add the urad dhall and curry leaves and fry until the dhall starts to turn light brown in color. Add it over the chutney.
- Serve with rice, dosa, idly, adai, etc..

- This recipe will be medium spicy and the spicyness also depends on the chilli used.
- If you don’t like it spicy, remove the seeds from the chilli and then use it for grinding.
