Broccoli Stir Fry/ Poriyal

Difficulty: Very Easy

Ingredients:

4 Cups Broccoli

¼ tsp salt

Water to Sprinkle

To Temper:

1.5 tsp oil

¼ tsp Mustard Seeds

½ tsp Urad Dhall

1 tsp Channa Dhall

2 dry Red Chillies

1 Sprig Curry Leaves

Method:

  1. Chop Broccoli into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, temper by adding mustard seeds, once it starts to splutter, add other ingredients given under ‘to temper’ one by one until the color start to change and nice aroma comes.
  3. Add the broccoli, salt, sprinkle little water, cover and cook over medium flame for about 6-7 minutes.
  4. This will be such a humble yet delicious side in South Indian Style.

Notes:

Do not discard Stalk altogether, use at least half of the top stalk by chopping it. It is loaded with nutrition too.
